Patrick Gass Monument collection, 1924.

Patrick Gass was the historian for the Lewis and Clark Expedition of 1804 to 1806. Collection consists of typescript copies of correspondence (1924) of David B. Weaver concerning efforts to get the U.S. Congress to authorize a monument at Gass' grave in West Virginia. (SC 1314)
